Buckner-Superior has introduced PRS-MOD pressure regulating module to provide customers with greater convenience and flexibility in the usage of Superior brand valves. The new PRS-MOD is perfect for new installations and for retrofitting existing irrigation systems to add pressure regulation capability to the valves. PRS-MOD regulates outlet pressure at the valve regardless of incoming pressure fluctuation.
PRS-MOD is compatible with these Superior valves: SPV, 950, 950DW, 950DWIB, 950SD, 1000, and 800.
The existing Superior 950PRS with factory-installed, side-mounted pressure regulator will continue in the model lineup. The new PRS-MOD, however, allows for adding regulation to valves already installed in the field. It can also be specified alongside a base Superior 950 valve, adding pressure regulation but without the need for any external tubing.
PRS-MOD simply threads into valve solenoid port for easy field installation. PRS-MOD can be used in systems with up to 200 psi of incoming pressure. PRS-MOD regulates and maintains outlet pressure anywhere between 10 and 100 psi in dial adjustments of 5 psi.
